The scariest book I probably read was Stephen King's book "The Shining." I was in my teens, and I recall being so scared that I had to put it down again and again, my imagination was and is way too vivid sometimes, and it was THAT scary. Got to love him though.

Thanks for the chance.

This year I am a football player. Boo thinks it is great that her mom will be a football player. We love football in our house, so the costume is super easy.

Scariest book?? "IT" still gives me nightmares, but I can't stop reading it every once in a while. Stephen King does it best when it comes to fear!

I haven't read any of those authors, and I am always on the hunt for new books. thanks!

One of the scariest books I've ever read is called "Strangers" by Dean Koontz. He's my favorite scary author because they always still have a good ending. I like scary but not depressing.

the comments on the scariest books read, looks like so far Stephen King has it...I agree on the most part, but my scariest book has been "Whispers" by Dean Koontz...gave me the creeps....however I do get scared by King... too.. :<<

The scariest book I ever read was "Cujo" by Stephen King, who is my favorite scary author! I was much younger and hubby worked nights so I was alone at home. I would read in bed and that book scared me so much that I imagined growling noises in the house, noises outside the window, noises everywhere! And the picture on the cover...I had to turn it upside down so I couldn't see that dog!

I am going to take my kids trick or treating this year and I usually just unmatch my clothes and pull my hair up in piggytails with a huge lollipop. That way I don't have to buy for myself just the little ones. Thank you for the chance.

eyeslikesugar said...

No trick or treating for me this year, but I might be going to my sister's house for scary movies. :D

jeffery deaver's books Twisted and More Twisted aren't really scary per se. But they are psychological thrillers and very, very good. :)

We will not be trick-or-treating. I keep telling my husband that we don't celebrate Halloween, and I usually lose. This year, we're staying home and giving out candy. I call it a draw! lol

Unknown said...

I know that Stephen King is an obvious choice - but I really like Ann Rule. She write true crime - but it's MUCH scarier when it's real.
